This is what I found earlier today on Engadget and if its true, the price is WAY too much. How can they even think of charging that price ($800) when the phone itself in the states is not even that much. Post your thoughts and comments

The price is so high for the iPhone, because Rogers (the eventual carrier) knows that people will want to buy an iPhone cheap on a contract plan, then simply cancel to get the phone itself. The fact that Rogers early cancellation fee is $400 would make this even out to the $800 no plan purchase price. Making this option very, unattractive.

when the phone sells for less than half that price in the states, its worth the drive across the border to get one and unlock it. especially with the dollar so high right now, you actually get it for cheaper than americans....hahaha glad to have duped apple and the U.S.!!!
