need help to stop annoying text messages from a deleted email account

is there a way to stop receiving text messages from a deleted email account on iphone? i recently deleted an email account on my iphone but i still receive text messages when there is a new message on that email account even though that email account is no longer on my iphone.

wierd.... make sure ur not syncing the email account with itunes cause thats only what i can think might be causing it
