Default Which has priority: EDGE or WiFi?
If I have both EDGE and WiFi set up, then I connect to internet, which of the two is in use?

Also, does it matter to the carrier? Is one cheaper than the other? What are the pros and cons?

Wifi will always take precedence over EDGE. If a Wifi signal cannot be established or Wifi is off, the connection will automatically fall back to EDGE.

Wifi (as long as you're not connecting to a commercial server) is free, your carrier doesn't even know you're using it. EDGE will always use data charges.
