[Urgent] Alarm won't work!!
The phone isn't on silent mode, and I double checked to make sure the volume was all the way up. I triple checked the alarm time and to see if it was on.
The alarm doesn't make a SOUND!! In fact, NOTHING makes a sound (phone calls, text, timer, etc.)!! On my screen, it has the snooze button but no sound.
It's only like this in the morning too!
I think it has something to do with it being charged? I don't know.
Whats REALLY annoying is if I don't turn the alarm off, and I take the phone out of the charger, the alarm actually RINGS 5 minutes later!
I tried testing the alarm with 1 min. It works perfectly fine. Same with the timer. Works fine.
I really need help with this. I got in so much trouble today because of this. My phone is my only alarm so I'm completely dependent on it.
Please help.
PS: I don't want to resort to restoring it. I'm almost positive it's one of my apps that's doing this....

I have that problem too... but thats why I always check it works before I go to bed.. i think it does also have something to do with the charge.. which is why I tend not to charge it at night time... but other than that... I have no other real solutions.

Because I'm in dire need of a alarm clock and my phones the only one.
Also, if your not going to post anything useful, then stop spamming this thread.

Possible FIX
well idk if this is the same problem but i couldnt get any sound from my phone either, not even in the ipod app, whenever i adjusted the volume it still showed that my head phones were attached (which they weren't) even after a restart, so what I did to fix it was rapidly unplug and plug in my headphones about 10 times then i checked the volume and it was fixed, it turns out this is a known glitch which usually comes about when you unplug your headphones or audio adapter or whatever was in the headphone jack with out first pausing your music

Mate... I can see why he wrote what he did and I too would be pissed off if someone wrote something which isn't helpful at all.
Maybe he used his old phone as an alarm and he sold his old phone? There are many reason why doesn't use a substitute as an iPhone... so... play nice.. lol.

Well... you missed the point of my post.
Why is this URGENT?
Having your hand stuck on a railroad track when a train is coming is URGENT.
Not having an alarm funtion working on your phone is NOT urgent.
Don't mind helping people with thier issues, but come on.. get real.
Oh... I have a better solution, for under $8

If that's your definition of urgent, then so be it. My personal definition is when something isn't working at a time of great need. Which is my case.
And yes I got a new phone. Also, I don't have any rides to wal-mart and the nearest store that probably sells a alarm clock is like an hour walk away.

If one is gonna be stupid and give stupid examples like that they so be it like the guy said.
What happens if he got into trouble because he was late for work? And the next time he's late he will be sacked?
Would you classify this scenario as urgent?
As I was trying to say in my previous post, there are many reasons why people will think it's urgent, not just you in the world.... (although I dont think its urgent either). lol.

Yeah it kinda moved away from the point that all the person wants is there a way to sort out his alarm... but... in the end I'm just trying to put myself in their shoes and try to understand why its urgent...
he did say... 'Also, I don't have any rides to wal-mart and the nearest store that probably sells a alarm clock is like an hour walk away.'
so.. its more like.. get sacked for missing work vs walking for an hour to get an $8 alarm clock. lol.
