vibrate confirmation

you know when the iPhone is asleep, and when you flick the vibrate switch, it will usually show a bell with slash on it right

well it is not in my case

it just vibrate, with nothing on the screen

and sometimes, this is also like my weird screen glitch, when i flick it, nothing happen, no vibrate or screen confirmation whatsoever. Until i press the sleep/wake button ONCE, then it starts to vibrate as if it gives a physical confirmation of it is in silent mode, but again never show any screen confirmation with the bell slash on it

i read somewhere that iPhone went to idle state when it reach 30 sec or 1 minute of inactivity when the screen is off

now my question is that is there any way to change this, or even make so that there is a screen confirmation again

i think that if i manage to solve this, i can finally solve that weird screen glitch forever
