well i did a lot of searching and i found an rca to iphone dock connector cable that is compatible with the iphone. a link for it can be found here: http://www.installer.com/item/displa...php?it=AIP-RCA

my only issue is, on certain songs, not all of them, i have distortion. i will hear a crackling in the background. i have to mess with the treble levels to get it to fade away. now this is hooked up with a factory 2003 lincoln ls stereo system. any ideas on why i am get a crackling in the background? this has been driving me nuts for weeks.

my sirius sounds fine, regular radio sounds great as well as CDs, just when i play on my iPhone do i hear this.

I believe the iPhone causes interference with the speakers. When you connect, turning on Airplane Mode should eliminate the distortion. Problem is you can't receive calls in Airplane Mode.
