How do I transfer phone book and SMS from SIM backup?
I did a backup of contacts and SMS messages from my old phone to my SIM. I can't find how to restore from the SIM to the iPhone.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Unfortunately, iPhone (yet) does NOT support SIM Contacts or SIM SMS's. Hope the future firmware upgrades do!

As far as I know, you need to transfer your contacts from your sim (using your old phone) to your computer and use iTunes too sync.
You can't sync SMS messages form another phone.

An OSX program was recently released that allows syncing and archiving of SMS messages.
I've got two states of mind, stoned and asleep

That's a solution I can't afford right now. Actually, it's the contacts that I'm more interested in. I can abandon the SMS messages, no big deal.
