Message tone / sms tone Problem

i install few applications to my iphone, then few days later i notice that i dont have sound when new sms come. I listen carefully the sounds look like the default sound of email sound when new mail arrive.

Even i change to any stock tones of sms. the sounds come outs the same.

any help regarding this?

And can somebody make upload or make look like an application that you can install the sound if you want. and uninstall it if you dont want it.

if you dowloaded a file called psyl or something like that remove it and the sounds will come back

This is a common result of jailbreaking a 1.1.4 iPhone.

The fix is easy

Go to---------------------------Settings->General Settings->Reset Settings->Reset All Settings.

I had the same problem a couple of days back, I tried all the different (weird) suggestion I could find.....nothing really helped. Soft reset, hard reset whatever. I got this problem after I updated my bootloader/baseband from 3.9 to 4.6 via boot neuter. Even after downgrading to 3.9, problem was still there.

Finally just before I was about to give up, I uninstalled the boot neuter and voila, problem was fixed.

Maybe this will help you....

P.S ONly uninstalling wont do it, you might have to ssh into your phone and find the app in applications folder and delete the folder manually.....
