make sure that you don't have a space after ieraser (or any other command for that matter)
#ieraser <-doesn't work

Ok I have the exact same problem
ieraser stops at "waiting for data"
I have to say that I already unlocked more than 20 iPhone 1.1.1 using the same files.
This morning it just doesn't work anymore!!!!
All the rights are set to 0755, there is no space at the end of ieraser. mit secpack doesnt have an ending. As I said I successfully unlocked 20 iPhones with these files. So it cant be the baseband files that are corrupt.
Just to make sure, I downloaded all the files again and tried it with them.
ieraser stops and tells me that the secpack needs to match the Baseband. It does. I checked it its a secpack Version4 and the iPhone has baseband 4.01.13 on it. Just like it should.
Anyone have an idea whats going on?
I'd really appreciate any help.
Ok I just found this Solution to the
"ieraser hangs at waiting for data... problem"
I must say that i havent tested it yet but I will tonight.
you just need to erase your baseband then flash it with the old 03.14.08G
using ieraser+secpack .. put them both in /usr/bin .. after all known steps reaching you are root on your downgraded iphone, and you copied your files there (bbupdater+.fls+.eep) in a new folder called /bb .. and (ieraser+secpack) /usr/bin (IMPORTANT) .. just run
make sure it will give you the new baseband version (40113),
should work and not stop at "waiting for data", if it did, just CTRL+Z, then
will give you running processes, spot the ieraser PID, then
#kill -9 ieraserUID
#./bbupdater -f *.fls -e *.eep
should go well but will give error downloading from thr FLS file at the end, but it's ok, now run ieraser again
should work well now, if it didn't , just keep trying

neway past this, if i dont use i erase i dont flash the baseband, and i cant finish the virginizing process....
10-22-2007, 04:04 AM #14Ok now i have it
OK here is what u need to do:
If ieraser stops at "Waiting for data..." forever, do this:
1. press Ctrl + Z -> it will stop ieraser process
2. then enter: ps -> it will show you the active processes.
3. Now enter: kill XX -> this will stopp ieraser.
(XX is the PID number that u can read off from ps (it can be 49 or 102 or whatever)
4. Now enter: chmod +x ieraser
5. then try again: ieraser
this worked with my iPhone. If it doesn't work again repeat the steps again.
