Hey I just got my new iPhone, but having a little problem. When I add another time zone on the world clock and press home button then go back to it the new time zone disappear. Same with the weather. Can anyone help me out?

Hmmm. I honestly don't know. Did you mess around with permissions at all?

I've just had a customer report this problem to me. 8GB 1.1.3OTB restored to 1.1.4 in iTunes then activated/jailbroken/unlocked using iLiberty+ on Windows.

I've asked them to verify that they have clicked the "done" button. Will post again when they get back to me.

Has anyone else come across this problem?

same here, after used iLiberty+ on Windows, even the stopwatch reset it, but the alarms and the timer works ok. crazy, i restore to 1.1.4 and everything go ok , so maybe some 3rd party sw could to this, i will try to restore and probe this without any 3rd party sw, just the liberty

So far so good, after return my iphone to 114 and check it all work ok., try liberty again and was a new patch iLibertyPatch_1.2.0.65_1.3.0.113.exe, so I installed it and the problem is solved, at least by now of course because i don't install any 3rd sw by now except the cydia who come with the patch.
Anyway this seem to be corrected or nothing to do with the liberty+ (maybe another 3rd party SW demo or beta ??)

Ok so confirmed that the customer is definitely clicking done after adding the location, etc. So it's not that.

Additionally I'm also told that the favourites menu erases itself periodically. It's as if these things are being saved in a temp directory or the phone is rewriting them which sounds a bit crazy. I'm really not sure why this would be occurring.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm going to restore and re-unlock it tonight and see how that goes.

Solution for Can't Save Settings Llike Weather

Problem: Ownership bug in 88Installer.sh

Description: The Preferences folder has wrong ownership, which causes some applications (e.g. Weather) can’t save settings. This will affect all those applications that need to save data into Preferences folder.

Workaround: Download 88Installer Fix and decompress it, put the decompressed file (88Installer.sh) into payload folder (under iLiberty+ installation folder), overwrite the old file.

Manual Fix: If you don’t wanna install Installer again (with the new patched script), you may enter the following command in shell (through SSH or Term-vt100) to fix the issue manually:

chown -R mobile:mobile /var/mobile/Library/Preferences
