    Default No sound when receiving sms, everything else works

    i have tried the headphone thing, no help,unistalled swirly mms,no help i have created a new sms sound and i can hear it, but when i send a text to my iphone all i get is indicator alert no sound, i tried turn the volume switch on and off, please help this problem just happened 2 days ago

    settings.app/general/reset/reset all settings

    i have this problem. im not sure whats going on.

    edit: even my default message tones don't even work. everything else works fine except for this.

    i figured it out last night if you have a program called pysl or something like that uninstall it, its the program thats a sms cleaner and filtering tool, i restored my iphone twice before i figured it out, had to reload each program i had before one by one and send myself text msgs until the sound was gone, i hope this helps

    Yeah, reset all settings.

    Although when this problem happened to me, resseting the settings didnt work, so i had to restore, re-jailbreak.

    thnx man , had that problem 2.

    edit : u can also install pysl and then enable it, then go to settings in pysl and enable vibration, status bar and alarm. Now u should get pop ups and sounds when u get a SMS.

    THANKS sensei74. Your "PySL" tip helped me out too. I simply had to DISABLE it by turning it to OFF mode & RESTART the phone & my SMS alert sounds were back-alive & kicking. Thanks again.

    I had the same problem after installing Pysl.

    Try disabling Pysl first then go to it's Settings & switch to OFF position all settings i.e. Vibration, Status Bar, Alarm, SMS privacy & Block Hidden Call.

    Then enable Pysl & go to Settings & switch to ON position all settings again.

    This solved the problem for me.
