I upgraded my iPad (1st Gen) to 5.1.1 from 4.3.5, and successfully jailbreak my device. Here's the thing every time I open an app (ex. Temple Run) I can't hear a sound even if my volume is at full rate. How can I fix this? Please help me guys. Thanks.

I have faced also the same. But i fixed it by changing the function of the physical side toggle switch from locking rotation to mute/unmute in Settings->General, then using the switch to mute and unmute the iPad once. And then my sound was back. So you may try it.

I think you have notifications muted.
Depending on what setting you've got, you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar.
Double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar.
The function that isn't on the side switch is set via the taskbar instead.
