    Thought I saw in another thread it has to do with backgrounder. Do you have that installed?

    Yeah. Makes sense now, the N is only shown in apps that are not able to go into background mode ^^ for the ones that are in background mode the N is not there but the three lines or in other words the backgrounder mini logo is there

    The N mean native backgrounding. It shows when iOS is using native over backgrounder. I'm fairly certain you can force backgrounder on any app. It's just a option setting.
