    Default Sycing a JB Ipad
Hi everyone I'm a newbie so please bear with me. I just bought a 16gb 3G Ipad from a local kid that was jailbroke. There is over 200 apps on it which I'd prefer not to lose them. Can I sync my iPad in Itunes with out losing my cydia apps? If no is there any other apps out the like sharepod that can do it?
    Thanks

For cydia apps they dont get removed if you sync, well that's at least what i know so far. but if ur talking about app store apps then i think they get removed, but cydia no.

@Robben10 is right. App Store apps will be removed. Cydia apps will stay on, as they don't sync with iTunes. How many of the 200 apps are from cydia? Please tell me that they are legit apps...
And it will be like a taco inside a taco within a Taco Bell that's inside a KFC that's within a mall that's inside your dream! Springboard screwy after reboot? Here is the fix

Sounds like it to me. Not only that app ownership is non-transferable.

If the kid purchased all of the AppStore apps, you can just import purchases from your iPad to you computer, but if he didn't, then yes, you lose all of your apps.

Unless the kid transfers his cydia account (and/or app store account), right? How would one go about that? Seems odd that I couldn't xfer my account, but doesn't cydia log in with google or facebook?

There may be a way, but to the OP, I couldn't go out and through my iTunes account purchase hundreds of dollars of software, put it on my iDevice, and then give it to you without transferring an account as well. If I didn't transfer the account, I could just continue to keep doing this and make money:

For Sale: 16g/Wifi iPad with $1000 worth of software. Price $800.

Make a few hundred off that sale, then buy another iPad, resync to get all the apps that I bought back onto the new iPad and repeat.

Sounds good, but it's illegal... well probably anyway
