    Default Screen Capture
Since jailbreaking, when I do a screen capture on my iPad (pressing the power and home buttons at the same time) I hear the "click" but cannot find the picture anywhere. Any ideas where the pic is stored, or what may be causing it to not store where expected?

Get ifile in Cydia, and then check out the DCIM directory, perhaps it is there, and for whatever reason is not showing up in your camera roll
And it will be like a taco inside a taco within a Taco Bell that's inside a KFC that's within a mall that's inside your dream! Springboard screwy after reboot? Here is the fix

Also, you might check the root photo directory: /var/root/Media/DCIM/

I find that if I choose "Save Image" when I'm running a root based app like Cydia, the image gets saved to the root DCIM instead of the mobile user camera roll.

But the normal screen capture has always worked fine for me.

Thanks for your advice... unfortunately, those were not the solutions.
But - I found the solution...

After jailbreaking with spirit i couldnt:

    Save images
    Take screenies
    Sync photos

    To fix this:

First download iFile (im sorry but i did all of the permissions changing through it and dont know the whole 07** things)

Then go to the cog at the bottom and turn "hidden files" on

Navigate to /var/mobile/Media/ and click the arrow next to DCIM, make sure the permissions are as follows:

    Owner: mobile
    Group: mobile

    User: Read, Write, Execute
    Group: Read, Write
    World: Read, Write

then click done and go into the DCIM folder

there should be two folders, 100APPLE and .MISC (if .MISC isnt there you havent turned on hidden files)

    Make sure they both have:

    Owner: mobile
    Group: mobile

    User: Read, Write, Execute
    Group: Read, Write
    World: Read, Write

Go into 100APPLE and make sure the permissions of that .MISC folder are the same as above.

Take a screenshot and enjoy your now working Photos app

This perhaps should be made a sticky to assist anyone else having this problem.

Sorry, but we are discussing screen shots on the ipad, not the PC.
