Can I transfer files to/from iPad with USB adapter?
I know I can transfer pictures from a CF card to the iPad using the CF adapter, but is there anyway to transfer these from the iPad to an external hard drive using the USB adapter? I'd like to get the iPad for traveling, but if I can't backup my photos, I'd still have to take my laptop with me.
Along the same lines, can I transfer HD video (.tod format) from my video camera to the iPad with the USB adapter, and then transfer that to an external drive?
I'm hoping that if it is not yet possible, the jailbreak will allow us to mount external drives as read/write.

If the files are in a backup in iTunes or iCloud, you can try restoring from the backup.

You can connect it via the included USB cable which attaches to the iPad's 30 pin dock connector. Although if you are looking at dragging and dropping files you're out if luck. iTunes is used to manage the content on iDevices. And you can transfer files via using some third part software, which can help you transfer files from iPad or copy files to iPad easily.
