Still waiting on mine to come in, but my understanding is that images that are 1024x1024 will work in portriat and landscape mode.

In which case perhaps this will help anyone looking for wallpapers:

ipad - Google Search

found a bunch that way, just replace ipad with anything you want and it should return images of the correct size
