    Default iPhone tethering to iPad
Now I assuming that the iPad will tether via bluetooth to the iPhone in your pocket.

Makes sense to only pay one expensive data package.

When anyone can confirm or deny, I'd be interested.

    Bulger out.

I'm thinking I'll get the Wi-Fi iPad then buy MyWi for my iPhone 3GS. Why should I pay for another data plan, when I can use the one that I already have on my iPhone?

I know. But I already have a data plan on my iPhone, so I'll use that instead. Why pay more?

im sure that as soon as it is jailbroken (the iPad) people will find a way to tether it to an iPhone or any other phone via bluetooth. but the real question is, how easy is it going to be to jailbreak this thing?

If Apple has learned anything over the years with the iPhone, it could be pretty difficult...

People have a data plan for their phone that specifically precludes tethering (unless, of course, they are paying extra for tethering).
It's going to be interesting when AT&T catch up with the rest of the world and start charging people for tethering - I wonder how many people will have to get bills of many $1000 before people realise it's not really a very good idea....

Some you guys really need to get with the program. If you have MyWi app on your jailbroken iPhone, all you'll have to do is turn it on in will create a wifi hotspot and since the Ipad is wifi enabled you will be able to surf as if you were in anyother wifi hotspot. If I were you I'd pick up MyWi now before it goes up in cost on ROCK store

a jailbreak shouldn't be to difficult since it's os is similar to iPhone os

The difficulty will be getting an untethered jailbreak by finding a new bootrom exploit.
