Default Changing Display Order in 1.1.1
so after a little bit of digging to see what I could find, i believe i found the new DisplayOrder.plist file (to rearrange apps on the springboard)

it is now called simulator.plist and located in /System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app

just FYI, to open *.plist files there are some easy conversions available, the one i sometimes use is http://140.124.181.188/~khchung/cgi-bin/plutil.cgi

It's for adding the Contacts icon to your homescreen, but can be applied to any third-party app as well. I was relieved to find that apps installed through Nullriver's AppTapp Installer.app automatically placed the icons on the homescreen.
