I just bought a bluetooth adapter for my Pioneer AVIC-D3. Its nice being able to dial out and receive calls, but.... Apparently the iPhone cant transfer its contacts to the head unit so I have no names on the head unit, only numbers. Its pretty frustrating but I'll assume this is something you guys could figure out as im sure it happens to other setus as well? Looking forward to whatever you guys come up with!

This is really a "No Brainier", The Iphone should have been setup this way from the get go. Hey dose anyone know how to turn the bluetooth on from the plist. I have a cracked screen and would love to know how to hack my way to having the bluetooth working.

don't know if this will be of any help to anyone, but the dev team should look at the bluetooth moduels in the earlier FWs up to 1.1.2 witch I noticed that actually send all the information about your contacts and phone functions to the car kit unlike the 1.1.3 - 2.x.x versions witch sends only numbers to the car kit, despite every thing/hack you try.

Again don't know if this helps anyone and sorry if it seems useless. Best of luck and speedy coding to the dev team

There is a program that will unlock the blue tooth on the 3g Iphone. I have seen the phone that was unlocked and it does indeed send/receive ring tones, pics, ect. I have asked the person with the program to let me use it, but he is not sharing(think whom ever gave it to him don't want him giving it out?)
From what he has told me about it, the program was made by a Japanese company ( said he had to have directions to install since it was all in Japanese). I have searched all over the place for it with no luck.. I will try to pry more out him but Im not holding my breath..

I have read about this also. It is unreleased. No proof.
