I am so confused - does ibluetooth non cracked version work on OS 3 3G phone or does it not? There is a lot of different information, I could try as I have a licence but phone runs rather great right now, so I am afraid of messing up

Not for 3.0>
Also should have more features, like iPod library interaction.
Why can't someone use the new 3.0 APIs to access files using the iPod library, and bluetooth them to other phones?

I had a quick IM conversation with the developer of Mover (which is out on the App Store, but is also open source - check Cydia for the compiled most recent version). He said that it would be possible to implement the iPod library access API from 3.0 and then send music between phones.
I asked about himself coding this into the next version, however he said no as he wanted to keep the open source + App Store code the same, and as you can probably imagine, Apple won't want apps that share music with other devices.
I suppose where we are now is that somebody could pull down the Mover source code, implement the iPod library access, and then at least we'd be able to send music and such between other Mover users.
Whaddaya reckon guise?

This post seems Kinda old but, I will mention it anyways for jb'ed devices There is iblueNova Which will add the ability to transfer some Files (actually All of the files in your Iphone) from phone to phone.

iBlueNova sucks, it crashes all the time and if it's not crashing the transfer won't complete. Also the developer ran away with the money again. And on top of that, it doesn't work on iOS 4 and it took ages to get a working 3.1 version...
I'm still hoping it'll work someday...

Haven't tried it yet but I'm pretty sure Celeste does the job now

Celeste is supposedly buggy, and only works on 4.2.1 jailbroken. Some people have had phone crash to safemode, others have some functionality, others none. And it's $10. Do you want to risk it?
