WOW! On my v1.0.2 there is a very noticeable increase during iPod playback, but the speakerphone still isn't much louder.
No bother, though. I use the iPod playing in my pocket a lot during the day!Last edited by jwcrash; 10-09-2007 at 08:55 PM. Reason: Elaboration

so is it private/var/ or just var/ ???
Also I cannot tell a difference (1.0.2 phone)
[edit] it seemed to only increase the keypad volume
[edit2] it seems as though system sounds, NES, and speaker are louder
ipod and ringtones do not appear to be louder (but may be because all of my songs are normalized to 89 dB)
Is there anyway to decrease just keypad volume?
[edit3] LOL, it was b/c of my ringtone normalization. Bumped it up to 97 dB and its WAY loudLast edited by PhatheadWRX; 10-09-2007 at 09:53 PM.
