other then dock can u get a screen shot

When you try to take a screen shot with doc is it makeing the sound like it is taking the picture but it doesn't show up in your camera roll? This happened to me, for doc to take a screen shot you need to already have a picture stored on the camera roll. So if that is the case just take a random pic and than try to take a screen shot with doc and see if that works.
