Just another thing yahoo can change and it would have to be fixed or taken out.
Keeping the tweak with the basic elements available is easy enough to manage.

We will see what's available come the iOS 7 jailbreak as the weather app has much more info built in. Then go from there.
Hey D. Do you happen to know where we can get Junes LS with radar? Is it free or part of a paid theme?

I use Environment Canada's "King City Radar" all the time. I always thought it would be amazing if that could be incorporated into a LS somehow.

Maybe looking at June's is a good place to start.

    Thanks man!

All good. It's all that stuff I didn't know, the tweak and a the mods are excellent. I have June's radar lock and alternate between the 3 main lock mods. Many choices and all are excellent. Such a great community to be part of.

Said he will be be putting out miLock Radar that has it.
Didn't find it in a search yet on Cydia

    Yay! Sounds great!!

D, can you confirm or test whether or not Yahoo has changed what it sends in 'extraLocCity'. I know that's a more minor consideration for the tweak as you've told me.. But up until last night - it was always reporting Township in US (something different than 'city' and 'name' in the XML) and since last night - it's been reporting the identical thing to 'city' and 'name'. That's of course a HUGH buzz kill for my iWidget with its detail. At this point, since I'm having other issues with my phone, I just want to know if others are experiencing what seems to be a shift in the feed from Yahoo. Those of you using my iWidget would suddenly start seeing a LOT of "in the Borough" or "in Town" on the second line.

Thanks for all your work on updates!! 1.4-9 only had a few sticking issues for me. Hope they're fixed in 1.5-26.
Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

If you were getting another name in that and now not, that is yahoo messing around likely.
But the extraLocCity is almost always the same as name and city for me, always has been.
Its function is to get a name by coordinates using the GPS part of the tweak. If or when your main city and name mess up (Yahoo giving a postal code or possible wrong name) the extraLocCity should for the most part be correct.

Well I hear ya, bro. But that hasn't been my experience as I've developed my iWidget. extraLocCity has only been the SAME as 'city' when you're in the center of a large city like Philadelphia or Los Angeles.. and then extraLocNeighborhood tells you the 'smaller' section of that city's name. I've written code to account for every combination in the XML.. since the first release of Widget Weather... extraLocCity and 'city' have almost never been the same - in US.. extraLocCity always reports township which is never the same as 'city'. Even when I test with your WOEID, Derrick, extraLocCity and 'city' report something different, bro. Tested that a long time ago.

24 hours ago.. Yahoo changed what it reports to that field. .. Naturally - I'm bummed.. I know you've expressed that that's not gonna be a focus of the tweak.. Fair enough.. And it's a Yahoo issue anyway - not something Stephen can account for in the tweak itself. Right?
Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

City and extraloccity are the same for me currently. We'll just have to wait until yahoo gets their poop together.

Like King said, we see what happens with Yahoo. Very possible they are messing around still. All kinds of different things with apps and widgets have been happening. Other than that the tweak is working as expected, definitely happy with it.

    HAHAHA! I do already..

Now c'mon guys.. I don't criticize the "way" a person designs their widgets. I just appreciate you for taking the time to give the forum something. But my "process" for creation and refining my work IS criticized sarcastically a lot.

I'm finally getting to give back to the forum. Please cut me some slack for at least that. And I constantly praise this great tweak - even in these mild "break-in phases".. I have over 60 people that have downloaded my iWidget.. That's new for me.. Small beginnings.. But it's helping some people. The "exactness" of the data is a hallmark of that iWidget.. So I'm a little interested in Yahoo's consistency..

EDITED: to remove a confusing comparison that could be seen as a diss of other's work. Unintended.

I hear you Gunny & RKO.. But you've entirely missed the point. And I'm not getting worked up over the "dissing" of a widget.. Not at all.. It's the patronizing all the time - as if my wanting things to "work well" and have "an exacting standard" is silly and OCD. It has just gotten tiresome dealing with all the coarse jesting. Maybe people mean well but it comes across cruel. And when someone works hard and achieves a goal they don't deserve that kind of reaction. Am I overreacting? Possibly - but when it's a "day in/day out" occurrence for months on end, it gets tiresome. :/ It seems sometimes here that if you don't "stroke the right people's egos" you are the recipient of constant sarcastic joking.

I was making a comparison between how I "don't treat others" and how "I'm" treated. Simply put - I don't criticize the "way" a person designs their widgets. But my "process" for creation IS criticized. Can you see the difference between that and " dissing a widget" or "taking a shot"?
