Works automatically on iPhone 5/4/4S. No configuration needed.

Tap screen to show forecast info. Slide hourly forecast left/right.
As its a touchscreen lock, that part won't work if you have lockinfo tweak.

Set up to run on top of main theme in Winterboard.

    Download: Ezra2_WW_LS.theme.rar

Thanks iskariotA for inspiration from another project I was doing as it evolved to this for Ezra

    Enjoy guys

Agreed. I wasn't really a fan of the first one. It just wasn't my style. I did purchase it though just to donate to the cause. And even though I was on the Ezra2 team from the beginning and had everything already, I still purchased it. I wish I had the means to donate more, but being a part-time painter/college student doesn't exactly keep the money rolling in. Lol.

Little correction, the xml file is a text file, not a database!

    True!
It is appreciative that Grant is posting about lots of different subjects as this can be very informative for "noobs" that would like to know but are too scared to ask. However, filling page after page with the same location name subject is overload. We all know that Yahoo's location name system is, well, quite far from perfect. I know why I have used Google's location name system instead over the last 18 month or so, maybe Grant you should try that as well.

Ian's suggestion about the Xcode project files is potentially a good idea, but would suggest to still have one person/team that is in the final control of tweak update releases, just to prevent a confusing number of individual tweak version floating around

Au Contraire, my friend. .. The issues I'm having have nothing at all to do with Yahoo naming conventions. In fact when Widget Weather is working correctly it updates the XML even when I'm in the same city and just cross a township line or come to a new section of a city. In fact, there's a 3 mile stretch near my home where Widget Weather updates 4 times in that 3 mile stretch giving me all PERFECTLY accurate names for "main city", extraLocCity and Neighborhood. With great respect, Ras, if you've understood my input to be complaining about Yahoo's localization and city naming convention, I believe you may have misread me. ..

Now - Yahoo is terrible for weather accuracy for small towns near large cities. THAT you HAVE heard me complain about for years. But NOT about their localization or city naming conventions which are 100% accurate for me down to the 10th of a mile - in my testing.

Now the REAL problem right now is the tweak updating the XML from Constant mode.

And Durben & King.. Do you guys keep your phones on 24/7 just recharging overnight? Never a cold boot? Or do you daily cold boot?

I don't.. Never cold boot. And last night my phone ran out of battery and was off for a couple of hours. When I rebooted this am.. Widget Weather on my drive to work today auto updated 5 times - exact amount it should for the areas I travel thru. Perfect. For the last "three days" I've needed to create an activator gesture for toggling on and off Loc Services to force WW to update.

Would that maybe indicate that a fix to the GPS localization process that Stephen's undertaking may not solve this at all? That maybe we're dealing with an $ajax cache stuck issue like we were hunting down for months with myLocation? If the tweak CAN, EVER, work perfectly and can seemingly be gotten "unstuck" by a simple cold reboot - then the basic localization process has to be sound. No?

What would I be missing in that "best guess"?

    P.S.
This restaurant I frequent for breakfast sits right on the line between two townships. As I turned in the parking lot my iWidget said:
    Blue Bell
    Whitpain Township

After I sat down in the restaurant it flipped to:
    Norristown
    East Norriton Township

    Now THAT's "accurate localization"

As I understand; swipe gestures don't work with Winterboard themes, but couldn't a swipe gesture be added to the Widget Weather widget, and when toggled "on" the springboard theme that uses WW could use it to execute an action like showing ten day forecast or changing overlay or wallpaperbg or any number of things? Am I to far out of the box?

Edit: I meant to say Winterboard SB themes.

Sorry if I have misunderstood you, but you were going on about city, neighbourhood, township, county etc, combined with my experience about Yahoo's crap location system (incl. iOS Weather App) that in fact the location naming was at the heart of your rant.
Did not know that you meant Yahoo's weather conditions, that seems to be a bit inaccurate.

Swipe gestures are possible in Winterboard themes, see [Preview] Swipe - Lockscreen theme only!!

I reread my last 6 posts, Ras, and they're all very favorable to Yahoo about naming accuracy and how great it was WHEN WW would update the XML. That's been my (several of our) only complaint. I've heard of Yahoo city naming issues in Europe & Asia but in US, using whatever feed we're getting from weather.app is amazing. Well actually my weather app city name is NEVER what WW sends to my widgets. So they must be using even something different from Yahoo than what weather.app gets. But city naming for me is AWESOME and you all know I'm VERY picky.

What I keep being 'repetitive' about are my musings about why WW isn't updating properly - NOT about the quality of the data I'm getting - WHEN constant node is working.

I hope that's clear now. I can't imagine Google giving me any better accuracy for city.neighborhood,city2 data. I'm amazed!

    Yahoo WEATHER, still sucks.

Yes.. Activator uses them liberally for starting tasks. Have you used the tweak Activator yet?

I use activator. Quite familiar with it actually. And a few other widgets that allow swipe gestures. What I'm wondering is Can a swipe gesture be added to WW that would trigger an action in the springboard widgets using WW? I get that the SBwidgets are independent and "pull" info from the XML but could WW "feed" a command to the SBwidget? (Probably a question for the dev)

Exactly. The iWidget tweak allows touch gestures in the widgets that use it. I'm just wondering if WW could be made to do the same for SBWidgets.

WW itself doesn't have any kind of functionality like that.

Wouldn't it be a nice feature though! I don't doubt that its possible, and with the amazing things that the WW dev has done with the iwidget platform(iwidget tapper for those who may not be familiar), I don't doubt his ability to make it work. Only thing is....would the juice be worth the squeeze? Anyway, I'm mostly just thinking out loud. We could talk about location issues if you want? No?
As long as there's hate in your heart, there'll be hate in the world. You can't fight for peace and you cannot capture freedom.

You're talking about making a different tweak.
Widget Weather gets location and weather info.
We can display it on lock or SB (SB through winterboard or iWidgets)
Other than that there is no way to add functionality to it.

Tap can be used in an iWidget. But not swipe gestures. Swiping will move the whole SB page.
If you override that with a tweak you won't be able to swipe your SB pages back and forth.

Swipe gestures can be used on the lockscreen though.
