Dead project lol, come on now.
Haven't really used any other weather widgets in the last several months.
As it is its ready but like RKO King and myself have said there is one bug that needs to be addressed.
It could have been put out but there would be some this bug affected and then they would complain about it so we wait til our fantastic developer gets time to finish the fix and we test it.

Soon enough you'll be able to check this out.

Easily fixable. The only issue is time to do it. As I mentioned previously the dev has a family and a full time job.
Life is what is causing the speed bumps slowing it down a little.

Oh I totally understand life "getting in the way of my modding habit". More power to Secret Dev-man. Just hope life opens up shortly. We've been waiting for close to 6 months now?.. I think. Can't wait!!

Hey, D.. How much work will be involved in converting existing widgets to use the new tweak? Do you think our current modders will be motivated? Or could it go the way of Dreamboard and be seen as "2nd" best and/or too complex to convert?
Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

Majority use either Durben or Dacals code or a mix of the two so I can't see that changing. If they are using this new stuff majority of modders will most probably use aswell

Yes it's been a while. Not really 6 months but feels like it I guess.
Reason for a lot of the delays is we kept tweaking the features to make it more useable for a large variety of different location options for users and adding in different features we thought it could use or what the testing group thought would be a good addition. So basically the dev gets us a version, we test, request, test, request, find a bug, fix ect.

Converting widgets is not as simple as fixing a few lines of code. The js is very different from GPS/woeid widgets so it would totally need to be replaced. Stylesheets/html from other widgets could be then modified somewhat easily to use that js. (Mostly just changing the element names to match what it is calling for)
As far as what other themes and modders want to use that's up to them but I can definitely say ill be using this. The ease of which it pulls information internally instead of sending/receiving requests to the web is a huge difference on usage and load times.

I'll talk it over with the team and see if this would be alright at this point and if ok, I'll put up a basic widget that reads my xml file from within the widget itself thereby enabling people to create a widget around it or modify an existing widget to use the tweak. Then once the tweak is released the js can just get changed to read the xml that is created on their own phones.
