    Sorry!

Today I received the TimedWalls images from the UniAW6.4 optimized from RKO1195 which reduced the folder size from 145.5MB to 39.8MB with no noticeable loss in image quality, unfortunately the program he used to do it is not available for Mac and I don't know what settings it uses, so I did some research and came across this:

A Higher Quality Setting in Photoshop Sometimes Reduces JPEG Quality

I decided to do some tests, and indeed, if I save an image with only a quality setting of 6 (which I would never normally think about) in Photoshop I can see very very little difference from quality setting 10 (which I usually use) but the image size is reduced from 3MB to 684KB

So guys n galls, why not try saving your jpeg's with quality 6, I think you will be surprised how good it comes out.

Thanks RKO1195 for making me curious.

PS, If you wish to look at two example images side by side, here is a link for you:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/hmlpz94c4l...re_the_two.zip

Don't forget to check them out with both images set to 100% zoom.

Or - if you want full quality image at '10'.. You can just move the TimedWalls folder with the full quality images to var/stash/themes.. then in the UniAW.js look for "12 minute timed walls" and where it calls for them here:
    WPmove_inTW.src = "Images/TimedWall/" + wpidx + ".jpg";

    change that to:
    WPmove_inTW.src = "/Library/Themes/TimedWall/" + wpidx + ".jpg";

Then you can have only '1' copy of the whole TimedWall folder on your phone and have every widget that needs them - reference them in your Themes folder.

That's how I make it work. This allows me to keep multiple version stages of UniAW and other widgets and not clog up my phone with the huge Timed Walls folder multiple times.
Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

We have UVIndex, moonrise & set times and next new/full moon date.
I had one question about it so will wait till Dacal wakes up for an answer. Then I add my fader for XML update/ XML checked and post it soon on page 1 of the UniAW thread.
I am leaving China on Thursday so will have time to redo all versions.

All future versions of UniAW will be WidgetWeather based, no more MyLocation app needed.

I will leave the old versions on post one for a month or so after I upload all the WW versions.

Once again, huge thanks to Dacal and the WW team.

    Thanks guys.
Wow. Just amazing! Can't wait. Thanks guys!

    Excellent news Ian

Hoping Stephen is able to get around to iOS 7 when it's jailbroken and get the tweak working.
Lots of extra information in that version of apples weather app.
The extras that are written now can then be just grabbed in the xml right from the weather services.

    Morning/afternoon/evening everyone

Default Newd WW City + AltLoc V2 - iWidget
    Okay gang,
I recently got The.Drifter's blessing to carry on his Independent Elements iWidget series into Widget Weather conversions. He's on to new project which I'm sure will benefit us all.

A few pages back I posted an iWidget for you all that uses your Main city on line one and gives you the option of a Line 2 containing secondary city info (which in the US I coded so that it will intelligently choose between your Township and the Borough/Section of a large city you're in). You can choose to add the word "Township" in Line 2 when it detects a US township or leave that off for non-US users.

    Well version 2 is complete.

    New in this version:
    • Added the option for adding your US State 2 letter code after the City on Line 1
    • Added an option to use Dacal's city choice method from UniAW and other widgets he's created - where you choose between "default" (main city), "city2" (the other city the XML reports) and "neighborhood" (what's actually in neighborhood field in XML or county if 'n u l l ' is reported). For people not in US this may be more practical for you
•Added options for font color, font type, font alignment and font sizes (18, 24, 30, 36px).

If your SB setup is just right and you just want an 'ultimate city reporting' iWidget with many options - you'll enjoy this! Using the Newdestiny City choice method you won't ever see US County... So if you are an information junkie -- you can just set whatever SB widget you're using to show you County (in config.js of SB widget, if it's Dacal coded, just choose "neighborhood" and most often you'll get county. Then this iWidget set using the NewdestinyX method will give you Main City/Township/State info all as choices.

Credits for ANYTHING I 'can' do these days in coding is always to:
Ian, Dacal, Durben, Drifter, King, MamaJaay & BombMom

Credit for the Independent Element Weather Widgets concept goes to The.Drifter

    Enjoy!

    Unzip and place in var/mobile/Library/iWidgets
Eldwin's iWidget Tweak is required from Cydia

Very Cool Grant, thanks for taking this project further Im proud of the progress you have been making with Java, and Im glad to have been a part in your coding developement

My current "project" is to get out of this hostpital, been here since Wednsday, gonna be a couple more days until they will release me.

Diverticulosis has left me with severe abdominal pain since Wed, and the result has me attached to this IV machine pumping Antibiodics and Posassium Chloride thru my veins. It sucks getting old

Heres me for the next few days

Grant the update interval is not needed in the config or options
    It's not actually controlling anything.
    The widgets check every 20seconds
    (refreshtimer bottom of main.js)

Otherwise nice job on the widget
