    @ferlop

I'm 99% sure that Dacal's future widgets will be written with the WW tweak. I can't speak of his older ones being converted. I do have one from RKO that I will be posting on the second post here that is a remake of a Basalt iWidget.
Widget-Weather App Now Available! Also with MyLocation Support!
Check out the thread here - Widget-Weather
To install the Widget-Weather app, just go to Cydia and install. This will also remove MyLocation, as it is built in!
Want to protect your JailBreak! Add this repo http://cydia.myrepospace.com/iLEXiNFO/ & Install "iLEX R.A.T."
It will allow you to bring your phone back to a fresh jailbroken state!

Ferlop15 hey bud, DaddyK widget is doing that cause he is using weather pics that are the old way of 1, 2, 3 in Dacal's and mine"now" he uses day and night pics that work on sunset sunrise so it changes right.

A side comment......a major reason why I'm not a big user of widgets other than Dacal's, is because in the past, just about every widget was not very good at updating on the fly.....I tried many and was always disappointed, even when the modders would say "It updates fine for me." Lol.....

Looking forward to some conversions of widgets......At present, my coding skills are nothing to brag about, Lol

    Hi Ferlop !

My next widgets will be all based on Widget Weather tweak. For the old ones, sincerely, i did not have a lot of requests to convert them, so for the moment i don't think i will upgrade them.

The main next code i will use as based will be the one from the Yahoo-like LS and the uniAW WW version.

Great!.....Thanks for the info....I gotta say though, and I'll be honest....That original Basalt LS is still a work of art, It still is my number 1 Lockscreen......The minimal look with the lower touch forecast was/is perfect....Your new one is awesome obviously, but that one, well.....

So if yahoo stops working, you need to upgrade that one, even if I gotta pay you, but not right now!

    ---------------------------------

Thanks RKO, awesome, man......getting that now.....You did a fine, fine job. I know you did that awhile back, but the new upgrades make it twice as nice!

I agree with you Ferlop, with the only exception being that UniAW always updated at the same quick speed as Dacal's widgets of his own. But the reason for that is also something that makes UniAW so battery draining - and that's that Dacal uses an "every 20 second check" to the feed (or the myLocation.txt file and now the XML with Widget Weather). That's a unique aspect of Dacal's interaction with UniAW and his own widgets. Maybe it was Ian's brain child - not sure.. But almost all other widgets I own do NOT have that. We were also fighting with that $ajax timeout cache problem that's an iOS6 thing that Drifter and others found and got that worked out. Dacal's widgets weren't as battery draining, even with the 20 second update interval, because there weren't as many animations and eye candy as UniAW. All that to say - THAT's why we experience the crazy awesome update speeds of Ian/Dacal creations. I know they built that same update interval into the WW version of UniAW and don't know if Dacal's updated his stuff. It's an easy code line to add to pretty much any widget - I think..

Looking forward to some conversions of widgets......At present, my coding skills are nothing to brag about, Lol
Neither are mine... but I'm learning more daily.. I moved past one 'stuck point' with Drifter's help that's sorta opened up a whole new level of understanding about JAva.. I think I can actually be of 'use' to the forum now with some coding stuff.. Still have a LOOONG way to go...

@Grant, can you take a look at the iwidgets posted by daddykool a couple pages back on ezra2 thread.....I tried one and it was showing nighttime weather at 9:00 in the morning.....Beautiful widgets, nonetheless.
I'll take a look. I may NOT yet be 'your guy' on this though.. But I'll take a look..

Ah.. Okay.. That's now clear.. Yes. I don't think 'County' is a useful option for folks in US. But these widgets are built for people around the world. I just want to 'refine' the 'city' choice aspect of the widgets so folks in the US have an option for auto-detecting 'section of a large city' and 'suburban city'. That's been my goal by adding the "auto" case to the UseExtraLocation switch in the config.js of Dacal/Ian code.
