    Hi all,

Absolutely love this ground breaking tweak! So thankful I was able to be a part of testing it. Thanks to King and Durben for that!

Here is the standard "McFly mod" using the Widget Weather tweak (i4 only right now - sorry):

    -photo.png

Lot's of goodies from UniAW added:

    Birds
    Astronaught
    Balloons
    Random 1 in 4 WW
'strong wind' feature (leaves only) with ability to set speed in config.js

Here's a video of it in action:

When I have the time, I will update it to use the code from Dacals latest LS. Right now it's based on an older version - still works great though!

    Download link: WidgetWeather_McFly.theme.rar

    Enjoy!

P.S. I apologize that the file system is a bit of a mess. I will clean it up when updated. Just wanted to share this with everyone ASAP.

EDIT: Credit to Max as always for initial design.

Great achievement from the team, congratz!
Tried it as I was interested in the location name. Yahoo usually does not know my village (village "A") and always gives me the name of the next village (village "B"), which is a couple of miles away. Hence I always used Google map for the location name, which worked perfect. Funny enough the iOS Weather app does know my village name (village "A"). So I was intrigued to see if village "A" would show on the WeatherWidget LS, as it get the info through iOS's Weather app.
Sadly, that did not happened, instead it showed village "C", which is 6 miles away instead. Even toggle Neighbourhood switch on and off, respring, open iOS Weather app (still showing my village "A"), always village "C" on display. So, I looked at the weatherwidget.xml file and in all sections (name, city, extraLocNeighbourhood and extraLocCity) is only one name, village "C".
    EDIT:
Suddenly I got my village "A" in extraLocNeighbourhood!
    EDIT2:
Gone again, back to village "C".
OK, now I tweaked it a bit and added the google maps location name, works great, at least it shows now the correct county (Yahoo uses wrong county!), only problem is the latitude and longitude, the values are not exact enough (not enough values on right hand side of comma), which places me in village "B", well, still closer then village "C".
If there is a chance to get some more exact latitude and longitude values in the xml file that would be very much appreciated.
Nothing is impossible only miracles take a bit longer!

I'm glad to see that everyone seems to be enjoying this!

For those trying to get their city correctly, there is an easy way. Just go to your Documents folder and open the WidgetWeather.xml file and check to see which element is displaying your city correctly. Please look at the middle of the file too, just before the forecast info as there are extra locations there also. Then you can use that element in your js file. Very easy, no guessing!

    Enjoy!

Hey Ras, very nice to see you stop by! I can look into seeing if we are truncating the coords and see if they can be extended. How many places to the right of the decimal point are you looking for?

Lockinfo 5 has a way to turn it off. For example, I set up an Activator to press the home button 3x while on the LS to turn off Lockinfo. Then touch functions will work when off.

    This is strange.
I downloaded the weatherwidget.xml file to my computer and saw it has a "extraLocName" section with latitude and longitude - 6 values on the right hand side. Great I can use these, quick code edit, upload, respring and .... nothing.
Opened weatherwidget.xml file on iPhone with iFile and NO "extraLocName" section in it, hence no location name.
How come it is there at one time and gone another time????
Ahhh, did not had the Neighbourhood Location toggle on ON, OK so that changes the xml file content. Something new learned
