    I have mine set to default (desktop) style and never have to log in again unless I restore. Maybe there is a setting in your safari settings that you don't have turned on or something like that. Odd that it wouldn't remember. Only saying this because Dacal does so much already for all of us, just seems to me a little inconvenience is worth it to go through so that we don't have to bother him to repost something he has already posted. Know what I mean?

    Oh I DO!!! Don't want to bother him.. But the steps involved in getting that text were SO HUGE for me - I couldn't help asking him. Most people don't post code in a quote - but I think even the code /code block would have presented me with same problem.. If it were ANYWHERE near as easy as you outlined I, of course, never would have asked.

    I'm just all mobile and whatever design flaws in the MMi app exist - many of us have to live with them. Is the app getting an overhaul any time soon? I will try setting the default style to desktop.. Don't know where to get that. Right now when you clik to desktop from mobile it takes you entirely OUT of the thread and to the news stories.. uggh.. But I remember trying this before and it still logged you out from day to day.. I'll try again.. What I know FOR SURE.. Is that the Mobile view of MMi in Safari definitely logs you out.
    Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

    When you open it in safari scroll to the very bottom and touch the "default style" button. It will load the MMi front page, just login there and check the box. Then go back to the MMi app and open the post in safari again and all should be good from that point on doing it. It should remember you are logged in and that you have default (desktop) style selected. If it isn't then maybe your cookies in your safari app are turned off or aren't working properly, or maybe if you use something like icleaner a lot that could be deleting them.

    MMi app itself needs a big overhaul, or just a complete replacement. It's kind of in a stalemate right now with Kyle and the tapatalk people. Kyle wants certain things kept in the app in updates but the tapatalk people don't want to have to keep that stuff in since they don't have those particular things in their normal tapatalk app. Been like this for last 6 months (at least). Not sure what is currently happening, Kyle was exploring just doing a new app from scratch using vbulletins mobile api's but not sure if anything has come of it. 2k1, me and a bunch of the other mods asked if they could just open up access to MMi for the regular tapatalk app which is much further along in terms of features and look. Nothing has really come of that either, Kyle I think is a bit reluctant to do that.

    Really???

    It was like 8 characters total to add to the code! If you need copy and paste for that, just give up now!

    That's some lazy azz sh1t there!

    LOL!! I hear ya.. But you can't both look at the code in iFile AND the new stuff on the forum at the same time while mobile - to know whether or not the new code offered only added a few characters or more. So I just copy the whole code line from the post, while mobile, and paste it somewhere in the main.js in iFile until I compare the two sections.. This is how I've done it forever. David didn't paste the 'original' code line so I could compare right in the post. If I'd seen that - then yes.. I could have noted - hey - these 6-10 characters. Easy.. But without the original code - I couldn't make that comparison.. Well, we've probably beat this dead horse.. My hand it duly slapped though..

    SIMON - thanks.. I will try - but I've taken all those steps before - to no avail.. I'll check cookies settings. That's my last hope.

    And I hope Kyle doesn't hold out forever. Tapatalk is SOO the way to go..

    Thanks everyone..

    Anyone knows how can I make the background for this widget transparent? The widget is interactive from SchnedImageUploadedByModMyi1395698603.874569.jpg

    • I have completely rewrote the weather animations (better for modders/power users). Now, there are only 2 files for all weather condition, each of them can be easily modified (look in animation.js for more information)..
    • New pictures for moon phases, clouds &drops,
    • New layout (less Yahoo style, but i had need to change... .
    • Add the distinction between US and british date format.
    • Add a wind effect for the rain, sleet and snow (for the curent condition, if the strong wind value is reached, drops are inclined).
    • New thunderstorm animation,
    • Things i don't remember... A lot of changes in the code and probably some bugs to find .

    Hey Dacal - first and foremost, just wanted to say thank you! For this and all of the other amazing contributions you've made to making our phones works of art.

    Wanted to give you a heads up. I just downloaded this and when I unzip it in iFile it separates everything into separate folders that would normally be contained in 1 folder for the entire widget. Here's a screenshot of what happens.
    ImageUploadedByModMyi1395710078.161330.jpg

    Even the config.js & lockbackground.html are pulled out and separated lower down the list with other documents that I've downloaded.

    No big deal I can put them back together in one folder, just thought I'd let you know 😉 could just be my device... Who knows, but I've never see this happen before.

    Thanks again! Now gotta go have some fun with this bad mama-jama!

    @Chris

    That's just the way that Dacal zips stuff up. You get use to it after a while. That's why I always view the zip file first before I extract it. Then I know if I have to put it in its own folder prior to unpacking.

    Forgive me, Theming is not my area of expertise.

    1. How do the heck do you change the temperature from C to F? I tried looking at the Config.js and didn't find anything related.

    2. How do you shift the time and clock up a bit, as well as expand the width of the clock? I'm here:

    #clock{
    position: relative;
    font-size: 40px;
    color: #3399FF;
    width: 160px;
    text-shadow: 0px 1px 2px #000000, 0px 1px 4px #000000;
    }
    -photo.png

    3. With LockHTML3, when you slide to unlock, is the whole widget suppose to slide or just the slider?

    If you want it completely transparent, as in no background at all, the easiest way is to add the line "display: none;" to the appropriate part of either the HTML or CSS file.. I don't have that particular widget of schnedi's, but I'm fairly familiar with his code so I'm guessing there is a div for either "overlay" or "layer" which is calling the background image.. In the CSS file it will be prefixed by "#", so you should see something like:

    #Layer { position:absolute;
    blah blah blah
    blah blah blah }

    If you add display: none; anywhere in between the {} brackets it should make the image transparent for you

    You change this in the settings pane for the WidgetWeather tweak. Kinda set it and forget it.

    You need to edit the positions for these in the CSS file.

    Thanks Boss!

    I am still used to the iOS 5 days of theming

    EDIT:

    Dacal, any particular reason why I can't seem to increase the width of the clock so that the am/pm doesn't move down one row when I increase the font size?

    I'm modifying the Style-iPh5.css file.

    And I'm at here:
    #clock{
    position: relative;
    font-size: 40px;
    color: #3399FF;
    width: 160px;
    text-shadow: 0px 1px 2px #000000, 0px 1px 4px #000000;
    }

    Changing the width does nothing.

    Thanks!

    you just need to scroll up the css file to the #DigitalClock div above the #clock one you're editing and make the width changes there and it should work

    edit: Dacal beat me too it ^^
