Thread: Widget Weather

    SO EXCITING.. and hey it didn't actually bring up the "Whitemarsh" as one of the neighborhood options.. It lists Flourtown as City 1 and 2.. Maybe that's a good sign! Install instructions are great. I did need one more respring before .xml file was created.

    Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

    My apologies for prob the first poor question but I downloaded then installed via iFile then in the instructions it says to go to the Settings app/Widget Weather, am I under the wrong assumption you mean the Settings on my SB? I cannot see Widget Weather there, and it doesn't say to reboot till after picking the options it lists. A little help to a follower?

    If you have install the tweak, do a full reboot. Then go in Settings andsearch for weather widget. Choose the mode you want and respring.

    Sometimes, the XML is not created at the first respring, you can try to choose "semi" and respring again.

    Respring the phone, Mav. Then you'll see Widget Weather in the Settings window.

    Wow... Just can't believe what I'm seeing on my Lockscreen; Dacal's Yahoo app cop is INSANE!! D, your Lockscreen is BAD TO THE BONE!! And this is only the beginning... Okay.. I have to admit - it was worth the wait!

    And when I opened Dacal/Durben's config.js and saw ExtraCityInfo = "default", "city" or "neighborhood" I was so relieved.. Tested all three and it came back as expected ( well almost ):
    Default = Flourtown (my city)
    City = Whitemarsh (my township, not really a city - most myLocation widgets set to neighborhood yield Whitemarsh for me)
    Neighborhood = Flourtown ( this surprised me a bit. I was expecting my county, "Montgomery", for this based on other widgets)

    But I guess the values returned for each of those could be changed simply by changing the jQuery Get call - right?

    From what I see so far - I'm blown away!
    Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

    Your county is in the xml as well. Its just not being pulled by the widget.
    Theres a few things to add to the js to get it to pull something else.

    My config is different on mine for city elements. Same kinda effect but Dacal fixed that up a bit (a lot) on his lol

    I'll check your code out too, D. And I saw all that's in the XML.. WoW!! But this is the area of the main.js where I could pull something different for neighborhood.
    Code:
     //MAIN INFORMATIONS
    var cityname = obj.city;
    switch (UseExtraLocation) {
            case "city":
            if ((obj.extraLocCity != null) && (obj.extraLocCity != "")) { cityname = obj.extraLocCity; }
            break;
            case "neighborhood":
            if ((obj.extraLocNeighborhood != null) && (obj.extraLocNeighborhood != "")) { cityname = obj.extraNeighborhood; }
            break;
    Right?
    Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!
