Totally agreed - what's up with that girlie look. But that's also the easiest to fix after jailbreak. Question is can we live with it from Oct - February.. . The functionality and 3D look will help me get past the nasty icons.

That's the "only" yuckie thing. The rest of what's "under the hood" of iOS7 makes a "play toy" of iOS6. That's why I'm bailing. I waited all the way til 2 weeks before promised jail break last time before I got iph5. But not this time.

    Durben or King,
In Widget Weather, when you choose GPS as your localization method- does it have the options of localizing via CityGPS and Neighborhood or neither? So all 3 modes of localizing?

Only needs two really. The GPS is great.
Some people may have an issue depending on how yahoo reports their city.
Everything we can return is on the base.

In the rare case that the city is showing incorrectly there's always things like this

Okay.. Reason I asked is that, in America, Neighborhood only and ever returns "county" - which is way too broad a localization. There are often 20-35 cities in a county. Where you really got a good narrowing down of the correct city (for when Yahoo incorrectly identifies the city) was in the CityGPS variable being on or off - as implemented in all UniAW widgets. (Dacal or Crazyvivek's original brainchild - right?). In America that switch narrowed you between city and township which one of the two yielded a name you recognized.

So I hope, by showing the "neighborhood" variable as the one that can be added back to most widgets in their config.js, you're implying then that the "two" that can be set with Widget Weather's GPS mode are: CityGPS=true and CityGPS=false. Am I understanding correctly?

Grant, just wait for the release man. No point in asking all these questions when u can just see for yourself when the tweak is released.

GPS works the same as before. Just be patient dude.

Durben always freely answers all these types of general tech questions, Krima. You didn't need to chime in with the patronizing vibe :/.. And it's always easy to say "just be patient" when you have had the pre-release for weeks.

All I meant was that the nuances of this tweak will be better understood when its released. There was no patronizing vibe to my post, you are just too sensitive dude.

It's easy to "just be patient" not because of the reason u mentioned but because its just a good virtue to have.

By all means ask all the questions u want, just know some things will be clearer when it's released. That's all I meant my sensitive little buddy.

I knew "exactly" what you meant. The answer to my question would have been a simple one to two sentences that you could've answered yourself. No nuance mining after the tweak is out necessary - little buddy. But instead of giving me a simple two sentence answer that you could easily have done, you chose to give me another "life lesson" from your advanced wise sage understanding. *sigh*... (Great Debate?)

No Great Debate this time I'm afraid. I don't care about your view on this one, sorry.

I apologize if my comment made anyone feel like asking a question wasn't welcomed or appreciated. My hope is that this tweak will be the norm when creating weather widgets and that means a deep understanding of it is helpful. Optimism and inquiries are needed so if I slowed that down in anyway I apologize.

Wow! I'm glad that's over with. I'd like to get back to my original question please. Durben, is it both the CityGPS false and true that are preserved in the choices in the tweak? With the ability to add the neighborhood variable to the code if you want it/need it?
Here to help if I can. If I can't I know someone who can!

    There's no "CityGPS"
The city returned in the xml is the city from your coordinates.
If your weather app on local setting returns a city. This will. Otherwise it returns what your app says.

    Neighborhood is the neighborhood.
County has a separate return from that.

But like Krima said, wait until its out. I doubt you'll have a problem.

What's your woeid Grant? Want to show you something

    I love weather.
The theme in my posts is 3 4 All, by Sk37cH.

The numerous versions released, and infinite versatility, beats IconOmatic mods. By quality.

The reason I'm asking the question is that I will never be using the Native Option in the tweak. I will always be doing my localization by using the GPS option. Because the Native way of getting the city/weather has proven to be a failure in auto updating the city when you're traveling. I'm sure that getting the proper city is easy for Native as every time I look at the local weather on my iPhone the proper city is showing - Well, for the most part. So my question is from someone who will only and ever be using the GPS option for localization with Yahoo. And the CityGPS mode was created to correct a problem in Yahoo's feed. Now if the GPS option (as opposed to Native) implemented by the new tweak has nothing at all to do with Yahoo's feed then my question is moot.

Durben, not sure why you need my WOEID. But my hometown one is 12765432. WOEID always returns city perfectly because it's gotten right from Yahoos city database. What I'd rather do if you were to do some testing for me is to give you my Latitude and longitude Coordinates for several places I travel that always return the wrong city name.

Thanks for any thoughts you can offer.
