safe to overclock A6? this guys done it to 1.7ghz?
Ok so apparently according to this video the A6 in the iphone 5 is overclockable, this seems to make sense as it supports dynamic adjustments. this guy in this vid has oc'ed to 1.7ghz, holy ****..
I translated the instructions in his description, do they look like they'll work? how safe is this to do?
"THIS VIDEO AND THIS STATEMENT IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES, I DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY ON ME WHAT YOU WILL.
to perform the overclocking you must have the program installed on your device:
Mobile Terminal
steps:
open the program and write inside "su root".
at this point will ask the password: alpine
after entering the password type:
sysctl -w hw.cpufrequency_max=1600000000
sysctl -w hw.cpufrequency=1300000000
sysctl -w hw.cpufrequency_min=1000000000
reboot the device and you're done."
thanks
