I'm trying to find a way to disable apps from rendering web pages via the UIWebView. I tried doing a variety of things, but couldn't figure it out. How do apps load the webkit library? Is this done dynamically? I tried renaming the folder /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/WebCore.framework to see if that would have an effect, but it didn't. Heck, I even deleted the folder (backing it up first, of course), but 3rd party apps could still render web pages.
Where exactly on the filesystem are the libraries stored?

I also would like to know how this is done… bump

I think it's an extremely difficult task to do. UIWebView is part of the UIKit.framework (http://bit.ly/1g5fsSO) so you can't disable that framework without killing your phone. In iOS7 frameworks are stored under /System/Library/Frameworks
There may be a way to disable to disable the webkit rendering engine elsewhere though.
