iOS 6 APN editing

Looks like from various reports that Apple patched the APN editing in iOS 6. Anybody have any ideas how we can fix this?

Ive tried the known alterations with no luck, jailbroken and not jailbroken editing plist files, carrier files, (through itunes back up and via SSH) but it always jumps back.

I'm sure they'll patch it or something when iOS 6 is actually released with a full jailbreak.

You can try installing a certificate and see what happens. According to @iReignTech, APN certificates for AT&T GoPhone work, but Straight Talk does not work at the moment. You can give it a shot though.

the cert for att.mvno works only to a certain degree, data works fine but mms wont hold the switch...

yup...ive even tried editing various carrier lists with no luck ....guess we'll just have to wait for the final release and see what the jailbreak guys can come up with!

Nope. the "Sim Swap" method no longer works (I have been told but have no way at the moment to try) with iOS6 and Apple _STILL_ haven't given a way to set MMS Settings via the mobileconfig way that I use for my website unlockit.

It would be nice if the Dev's would work on this issue but I never understood how apple could sell an unlocked phone and Not offer anyway to input the APN setting's !?

You can now use tetherme it has been updated for ios 6 I musty got the update so I'll have try out iOS 6 just too see if it's as weak as people say

If you indeed buy an Official Unlocked iPhone from Apple, it will have the the Cellular Data tab to set up APN settings.

Your favorite Apple, iPhone, iPad, iOS, Jailbreak, and Cydia site.
