Question Is full file system access for each app possible?
As we know, most apps that can browse and access directories can only access files in its "Documents" folder in its own var/applications folder. Is there any way to make apps see beyond that directory, giving it full access to the filesystem at least as far back as /var, or is that something each dev would have to program separately (which Apple wouldn't allow)?

On a stock iPhone or any other iDevice for that matter you wont be able to achieve this. This goes against Apple's App Store policy, you will need to jailbreak and use something like iFile.

Server based games/apps won't matter if you mod the files. Just a heads up.

The application is just supposed to be made by the developer and then used by the customer. Apple don't allow users to modify applications. Cydia does though, jailbreak your iPhone and install iFile
