I am trying to SSH into my macbook pro from an iPhone app called Pompt. It works fine over wifi but is there any way to get it to work

    I am trying to SSH into my macbook pro from an iPhone app called Pompt. It works fine over wifi but is there any way to get it to work over 3g? Or would I be able to do it if I was on a different wifi network such as at a friends house?

    I'm assuming if you want to connect via 3G or your friend's place that you have to configure port forwarding on your router and connect to your external IP address or create a DynDNS account. If it all works locally, then you just need to enable port forwarding and test.
