I wanted to get rid of ads in the free apps I used, so I used that host file that blocks ads.
However, I have noticed that the browser takes longer to load (both safari and other app browsers) using this host file which I don't want at all. It is blocking the ads in both the browser and the apps, but I really just wanted to block the ads in the apps, don't really care about the browser.

Is there anyway just to block ads in apps without this slowed side effect?

Has anyone noticed this slowing as well?
