Thread: Using iFile for music

    Default Using iFile for music
If anyone is familar with apps like Downloads, and things like that, know that you can download music from other places.
In the Documents folder for Downloads, you have all the things you downloaded. They are saved in folders and such but moving them to Media/Music doesn't put it on the Media Player. There are probably other files somewhere to make it be shown but Ican't find them. Any help?

    Thanks!

Music is stored in var/mobile/media/iTunes_control/music/. They are in a series of folders. Make sure that the show song titles option is checked in file and that should do it.

You cannot directly copy music into your iPod.app or Music.app using iFile. Use MewSeek from Cydia to do this; but the best option remains to be syncing.

you could also use pwntunes and transfer your downloaded (music you can download with safari Download Manager and a LEGAL Site) and then move the music to /var/mobile/media/MyMusic and go to settings>pwntunes and set need to sync, then open music/ipod app and it should load and then your music should be there.
