Default Help regarding Custom Carrier Logo (png) setup!

I searched a way to use custom pictures (png) of carrier in the status bar...

I renamed those custom pictures but still they are not showing up... I'm able to put custom text carrier logo via Fake Operator but I'm not able to use PNGs as my custom carrier logo...

    Help!!

This has has been asked time and time again here and all over google but still no one can seem to come up with any concrete answers to this. I think on any device pre-iPhone 4 can do it. Or that is my understanding anyway. Saying that, I KNOW it can be done on iPhone 4 cos I remember a theme I got off of Cydia a while ago that had a custom carrier logo but I personally (and plenty others on google) have not been able to replicate it my self. Very annoying but there ya go. Sorry.

    Looks like i-FileBox or whatever.

While skimming for something I came into...
    /System/Library/Carrier Bundles/iPhone/ATT_US.bundle

    And found:
    Default_CARRIER_ATT M-Cell.png
    Default_CARRIER_ATT.png
    Default_CARRIER_CINGULAR.png
    FSO_CARRIER_ATT M-Cell.png
    FSO_CARRIER_ATT.png
    FSO_CARRIER_CINGULAR.png

I haven't edited them yet, but I found them while looking for the icon to the iGmail app.

    i-funbox...

And yes, I've gone through this process again & again but it fails.. this method of naming is for AT&T network (US)... I have Vodafone (India)... Ive tried everything... vodafone.in, vodafone_in, vodafone in... but nothing's changing it to a png!!

My guess is to navigate to /System/Library/Carrier Bundles/iPhone/Vodafone(whichever language you use)and check those out. Im not sure if this is what you are talking about when you say you've tried "vodafone.in, vodafone_in, vodafone in..." but the above method seems to work for me.
