I got a discarded 2G from a coworker that wouldn't activate. IMEI matched the back cover. After jailbreaking with custom ipsw via sn0wbreeze, it worked fine. Put my SIM in and tested phone functionality and all worked. Unfortunately, the version of Cydia that was packaged with sn0wbreeze 1.5.2 was way outdated. After a few attempts at restoring and attaching a few different .debs to the custom ipsw to get Cydia to update without crashing or locking up, I finally got it working. Except - now my IMEI is 00 490000 064000 0 (or something) and my wifi and Bluetooth are grayed out.

After poking around in the root files, I ran across a plist called com.apple.wifi.plist that is located in Var/preferences/systemconfigurations. When viewing this plist, i found the following:
Code:
**<key>AllowEnable</key>
**<false/>
Hmmmm...I decided to check my 3GS (which has working wifi) and it has the same file, but the value = true

I haven't changed the false value yet. I was seeing what some of you more experienced peeps think about this? I'm probably going to try this when I get off work, but in the mean time - tell me your thoughts.
