My Iphone 3G is stuck in recovery mode after it's screen was smashed. I have read MANY other posts about similar issues and used their advice to no avail. I've attempted to restore, but get Error 28. Is there any other way for me to work around the recovery mode to backup/save data (photos, SMS, etc)?

I've tried MANY things...restoring without the SIM card installed, IRecovery, TinyUmbrella, etc. (although I cannot guarantee I was using these correctly) with no luck.

Any help?
