    Default GPS Spoof Question

    Friends,

I noticed that there are two GPS spoof programs in cydia. Would these applications work local to my device or global?

Let us say that I spoof my location, go on mobile me to see my gps status. What would be reported back to mobile me?

There are times I want to watch a sports game in the USA due to black out restrictions, nice to be able to spoof my location on that accord too.

    Please advise,

That is what they used to do. I am not too sure they work anymore though since 4.0 came out.

Are you saying iOS 4.x for the apple device? I am wondering if someone here in these forums have one of those gps spoof apps working with their current JB device.

    thank you,

I tried both of them a few times after 4.0 came out and neither would spoof the apps I was using so that I could use them properly (for example the NBA league pass app and the ABC app).

Edit: Just checked, apparently Fake Location was updated to support 4.2. I am using it right now on 4.3 and it seems to be working.

well so far, I sent the Fakelocation email asking about GPS and Mobile. No word back yet. I did test FL with google maps, tomtom, etc and it definitely does work. However with mobileme it didn't work via web client. So I suspect that it probably won't throw off gps tracking.
