Default IconSupport Slowing Down My Springboard?

    Hi,

I jailbroke my iPhone 3GS a few months back and found that when I wanted to rearrange the icons on my Springboard I would press and hold an icon waiting for them to start wriggling but it would take about 20 seconds for this to happen.

I put up with this for a while but I finally got fed up and decided to find the problem.

So, using SBSettings, I disabled each of the MobileSubstrate add-ons one by one to find the culprit.

After doing this, I found that it was IconSupport.

The IconSupport is the addon which allows you to have extra icons on the status bar, so I decided that I would remove it because I would rather have a Springboard which worked quicker than extra icons on the status bar.

Unfortunately, Cydia told me that it would remove 4 other apps if I removed the IconSupport, and I don't want to remove these apps.

Does anyone know how to fix the IconSupport so it doesn't slow down the moving of icons?

If not, is there a way that I can remove the IconSupport without removing the other apps?

Any help would be much appreciated

    Thanks

What other apps are being removed? Can you list them?

Can you uninstall the iconsupport package and then reinstall the others?

I've just tried this but reinstalling the apps that get removed causes the Icon Support to reinstall also and it still slows it down.

    Any other suggestions?
