Enable hotspot on 4.3 GM with Iphone 3GS

Looking to find out if the personal hotspot can be enabled on a jailbroken iphone 3GS on 4.3GM. Has anyone seen the .plist? Can it be edited to allow hotspot, then install tetherme?

Yes, I know I could use mywi or pdanet, but neither support adhoc networks. Trying to tether an ereader. Thanks in advance.

As of right now we don't know but most likely we will be able with a simple plist edit hopefully apple made it easy to we have to make the value =true

Its like HDR on iPhone 3GS... you can write iPhone 4 values in iPhone 3GS' plist but it wont work. Already tried.

Actually , MyWi is adhoc....it doesn't support infrastructure mode tho.

Hi there, I'm currently working on it, I think there is two files to modify : WirelessModemSettings.bundle (/system/library/preferencesbundles) and the .plist file from your carrier (? operator) in var/mobile/library/Carrier Bundle.bundle

Jailbroke IOS 4.3 using Sn0wbreeze beta and installed TetherMe. Personal Hotspot feature is working with WiFi. Was able to get email and use the browser on my PC with no problem.

I'm wondering how you did that too. I had both 4.3 and 4.3.1 JB'ed with beta sn0wbreeze releases on my 3GS and had no ability to use personal hotspot over wifi, just the typical USB and BT.

can someone confirm that with iphone 3gs with 4.3 doesn't allow Infrastructure Mode? Right now it works with ad-hoc but android doesn't suppose ad-hoc yet unless you unlock android (which i plan on doing once 3.1 can be rooted). Thanks.
