actually that is for the iPhone 4. For the 3GS it's iPhone2,1

try this:

tinyumbrella might not be able to kick you out of DFU but might still be able to save your 4.0.1 shsh blobs to cydia. Follow the guide in the link below on how to this.

Save SHSH Blobs for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch with TinyUmbrella (Windows, Mac) | iPhoneHeat

Once successfully saved, try restoring your iphone again with the 4.0.1 firmware.

Oh ya, and don't forget to go to the advanced tab, and make sure "Set Hosts to Cydia on Exit" is checked.

Thank you for the help but TinyUmberella dont find my iPhone but itunes find it. And i press on Start TSS Server but i get each time when i try to restore an error. I have a question. So i have now 4.0.1, and if i update to 4.0.2, can it work?

have u been on 4.0.2 before? if not, I don't think it will work coz cydia probably does not have your 4.0.2 shsh blobs. if that's the case, u can only upgrade to the latest version which is 4.2.1, thereafter losing your unlock.

no, he can't since his phone needs to be unlocked. currently there is no unlock for 4.2.1. not that I know of

No beacause tinyumbrella can't find my iPhone. I have an idea. So i can update to the latest firmware and my iPhone should work. Can i go back from the latest to 4.0.1, so a downgrade. And i found this Sn0wbreeze 2.2.1 to Jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 / 4.2.6, Brings iBooks Fix, Adds Drag and Drop IPSW Files Support, can i use my SIM with this tutrial ?
