Default Manually Transplanting An Older App?

My phone crapped out yesterday, thankfully within warranty, so I traded it for a new one at the Apple Store. I re-installed all my App Store apps fresh from the store. Problem is, the SlingPlayer app is newer and won't play with my Slinbgox until I "update the Slingbox firmware". I'm NOT gonna do that. Sling Apps and firmware only get worse instead of better, and in this particular case if I 'upgrade' the firmware - then IT won't play with my Mac. But... I have an older iPhone that still has the older SlingPlayer app installed. Can I manually transplant that app to my new phone? Both devices are jailbroken, ssh enabled.

You should be able too! Just use iTunes and right click ur old phone and click transfer purchases. Then sync to ur new phone the apps that you want...I would suggest you do it on your new phone too as it will overwrite any apps already on the phone.

When I set out to try, it turns out I had actually deleted the older version on the other device. So I'm out of luck.
