using subfolders on fw 3.1.3

I've been using the program called Catagories for the creation of catagories, but don't like it that much. The icons are limited and there's too much of a lag (for me, anyway) when I click on a folder to get to the programs stored in there.

Are there any alternatives to using Catagories using fw 3.1.3. I really like the Folders native application on the new iO4...is there anything like that for older fw?

Best option would be the CategoriesSB addon, which removes the lag you're seeing with Categories. However, apparently you can't buy new licenses for it for some reason. He recommends FolderEnhancer instead, but I believe that requires iOS4+, leaving 3.x users with nothing.
