    Default Frash error - abort()food.c:43
I recently installed Frash to my iPhone per the instructions on redmondpie and I am getting an error [abort()food.c:43] when I try to view any flash content. I read on a couple of different places about rebooting the phone 3 times and it still doesn't work. I installed via SSH. I saw that there is a source I can add that would allow me to download it but I am somewhat nervous about adding sources that I don't know about. Does anyone have any tips?

    iPhone 4 running 4.2.1

i have no experience with frash (its hardly worth it compared to how much flash sucks, especially on mobile browsers) but adding a source in cydia will never cause any issues (maybe a posix error when refreshing data, but thats nothing to worry about) so i would say go ahead and try that source

or possibly it isnt compatible with 4.2? if it hasnt been updated recently (since 4.2) then that is most likely the problem

A little while after I posted that thread I added that source and upgraded and it still doesn't work so I am thinking that it isn't compatible with 4.2.

Yeah same here.. it's not your phone, its just that frash isnt developed yet..i installed it on my iPhone 4 os4.1 and videos and interactive stuff just gives errors and such. I've looked around and there's little to not development.. It seems to have little development after august and none at all after december another alternative is "iosFlashvideo", works for vids pretty well.. Google it

Just use the Skyf1re app on Cydia or the skyfire app on the app store.

Skyf1re has changed names to Flamenet on Cydia and it still doesn't work. I looked into skyfire on the AppStore also and it's all about some trial offer or other bs

I then add the frash toggle
Then as nothing still worked I added Flamenet
    Still nothing
At this point I rebooted 3x whilst the phone was synced and connected to my pc
Hey Presto my youtube in 247consoles came up first time

I have skyfire installed and was able to watch NHL games w/no problems. Even though this has to be flash video - still nice to have this option.

Just install skyfire but instead of getting it on cydia get it on the AppStore , it is the best option for watching flash videos on the iPhone or iPad

    LOL Thanks!

    Thanks,

Ok. So, this is a Quote from Comex's GitHub Page.

To actually run it, you'll need libflashplayer.so from Android.

    Build instructions:
(do networkpx Project Blog: Compiling iPhoneOS (3.1) apps with Xcode 3.2 without Provisioning Profile but use my version of ldid2)
    (do http://sumgroup.wikispaces.com/iPhone_Dynamic_Library)
    ln -s /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS3.1.3.sdk /var/sdk
    export PATH=/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/usr/bin:$PATH
    cp -a /System/Library/Frameworks/IOSurface.framework/Versions/A/Headers Player2/IOSurface
    cp -a /System/Library/Frameworks/IOSurface.framework/Versions/A/Headers food/IOSurface
    cp -a /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/CoreText.framework/Versions/A/Headers food/CoreText
    cp -a /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator3.1.3.sdk/System/Library/Frameworks/IOKit.framework/Versions/A/Headers/ food/IOKit

make -C rpc # Yes, I know what MIG is and there is a reason for this.
    # probably a bad reason
    make -C utils
    make -C libgcc
    make -C food
    xcodebuild -alltargets -project Player2/Player2.xcodeproj

Can someone explain what this does specifically? I think I know, but not sure. Don't want to ruin my new shiny Xcode 4. LOL

    Thanks,
    The iSmooth Project.
