custom lock/unlock sound is not sounding on iphone

hey all, I'm trying to make my iphone 3gs unlock/lock sounds to a snarling cougar.

the file is indeed .caf and does appear in my winterboard app.

but when i unlock it i hear absolutely nothing (yes, the volume is up).

I am using a program called ifunbox to get into my iphones files.

when comparing my custom lock/unlock sound file to the working lock/unlock sound files you would get from cydia, THEY LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME.

I don't know what the problem is. Help would be much appreciated.

i had the same problem and i think it that the lock sounds is off in the settings app under sounds. try that hopefully it solves your problems

I used to use an older SSH app, but ever since I discovered (quite fortuitously) iFunBox, that's ALL I use. On the go, I do use iFile of course.

I've dabbled ONCE with sounds and all I had to do was download the sounds I wanted (it was a stock option), checked them off in WB, then resprung. Worked. If I skipped a step, I think once enabled, I selected them in sounds. That should be it.
